Special Moments with Sponsored Child

One of the highlights of visiting groups is when they get to visit with their sponsored child.  We have a youth group from Northridge Church in Pensacola here in Guatemala at the present.  Chris Blackwell is theyouth leader and he and his wife Melissa sponsor three children here in Guatemala.  Melissa also works the PaceLiving Water office.  They are expecting their first child in November and so Melissa was not able to make the trip with Chris.

Their child Milene is eight years old and comes from a very poor family.  She is a very intelligent girl and told Chris she wants to be a doctor when she grows up.  Because her mother can not care for all of her children, she lives with her grandparents.  A very special treat came when Milene and her grand-mother asked Jesus to come into their lives.  How special it is to see the "World Changed...One Child at a Time." One eight years old and the other sixty-two years old.
