Steve McDaniel urgently needs to replace an existing vehicle with a new or
nearly new 4x4 and it needs to be a sturdy one, probably a Toyota 4x4, due to
challenging terrain it will traverse in Guatemala - see photo.
To help raise funds for this
vehicle, we are holding a fundraising concert with
country gospel group LIVE ISSUE on the
evening of Saturday 20th February 2016. Sam Armstrong is Live Issue's drummer, and is
the husband of one of our Church Contacts, Christine Armstrong, from Donaghcloney
Parish Church.
The main purpose of this concert will
to be to praise God and raise funds for new (or nearly new) vehicle. LIVE ISSUE is a Northern
Ireland group. They literally made
history in Nashville by becoming the first country band from Ireland, and only
the second group from the British Isles, to perform on the stage of the Grand
Ole Opry. ‘New Christian Music’ named
Live Issue as “Artist of the Year” for four consecutive years in the Country
Gospel category and in 2014 the group was awarded “Country Band of the Year” in
the Northern Ireland Gospel Music Awards.
Put this date in your diary if you are in/will be in
Northern Ireland on 20th February and come along to what promises to
be a great evening of worship and entertainment – more details of times, etc
